Party in the Park with Moonshine Mollys

Well, this last weekend was so amazing with our very own, Cassandra Smith as the MC of Party in the Park. Plus, the band opened up the main stage and brought a whole lot of sass to the festival. The weather was hot and the people were dancing. The night could have not been completed without our friends, Me and Mae,  who had David Barber with them. He is the other half of GB ROOTS with his wife, Kirby Barber. Who has picked up Bass player of the year for the last three years at the British Columbia Country Music Association Awards.

The Boys from Eagle Eyes took the stage to show us what 45 years of tribute looks and sounds like. These guys have been covering the Eagles for a long time and sounded amazing doing it. In between all the main stage acts were Ramona the Belly Dancer, Stefan Crucil, Kendall Spencer, Chris Andres, Joe Turner and Jamie Hamilton.

Andrew Hyatt stopped in for a set all the way from Ontario, to share with us some songs from his debut album “Iron and Ashes”, which was top notch country music. Followed by one of our favourite bands… JJ Shiplett!  The crowd was sure lucky to enjoy their music and hear first hand the growl and emotion in JJ’s voice.

Finally the headliner, Miss Madeline Merlo graced the stage in all her Flamingo Bohemian style. The crowd came alive when this sweet young singer, who is taking country music storm, took the stage. All in all a great Party in the Park 2018.
